My postcard home

Hello Kate,
As you know I’m in trip now. The first country is France. I’ll spend here three weeks. I was dreaming of visiting France for last five years and now my dream comes true.

France is beautiful in this season. I went to France two days ago and I was planted to spend some time in my friends’ house. But when I went there I found that they weren’t at home. Their neighbours told me that they were in the country side. We phoned them and luckily found that they were just late. And I have been enjoying nature of France for two hours and I’m not still tired of it. Unfortunately it wasn’t the only problem. My baggage was lost in the airport and I haven't been seeing it since Moscow. As I know it’s in Germany now. But they have promised me that I’ll get it this evening.
In my trip I’ll visit Italy, England, Australia, Canada and the USA .I hope there won’t be any problems.
See your soon,
                                                            Julia.

Hi Richard,
My plane has just arrived to Scotland and I decide to write you. You know I took a gap year this autumn. I've been travelling for 6 months.

I was in Japan and Mexico. I've been speaking English for all the time which I was there, because I don't know Japanese or Spanish.

In Mexico I've seen REAL Lucha Libre (it's Mexican Wrestling) and it was so cool! I know that this is a show with a plot but it doesn't matter because this show was very beautiful!

And in Japan I've gone to the famous sword master Makemi Akatanashi and we've made a REAL katana sword for me!
Also he has given me a few lessons. And I've ate sushi for the first time!

 It is my best traveling!
If you can take a gap year YOU MUST TAKE IT!
See you soon,

Artur

Hi Hannah,
How are you? I'm really fine because of the gap year. Of course I decided to travel. I always liked it. My trip was very fulfilling . I've been in three countries: France, Spain and USA.
I was in France for eight months. Of course, I learned french for the whole time in France and I worked in a French company for a couple of weeks. It was the best experience I've ever had. In Spain I was only one week. I practiced a bit of Spanish there. In the USA I spent three months. I've been learning English and Spanish in a college there. I was a volunteer in the kinder garden.
I really liked my fascinating trip, but now it's time for my university.
With love,
Liliana

Hi Anna,
how are you? I'm very happy because of getting a life-changing experience during my gap year. I've been travelling all around the world. I've visited such different countries as the UK and Japan, France and America, Italy and Switzerland, and all these countries were great in their own way. I've visited old castles, eaten sushi, been in the Eiffel Tower, seen the Statue of Liberty and many other amazing things.

However, I've had some problems too. For example, in Japan I've got into many troubles because of not knowing Japanese. But I've been learning it since then :).
In spite of some problems, I'm having fascinating gap year. I've been travelling for 10 months but I think it's not enough!
See you soon,
Polina

Hi Kate,
Two months ago I decided to take a gap year. And before the gap year I made a plan. In that plan I wrote where I want to go to. And I wrote that I want to go to: London, Paris, Canada, Holland, Spain, New York and Germany.
My gap year started 6 months ago. And I have already visited several countries. I visited Paris and London.
In London I have visited museums and some excursions.
In Paris I have also visited some museums and excursions. And saw very famous Eiffel Tower. The trip was fantastic.
Then I will go to Canada and America. After to Holland and Germany. And in the summer I will go to Spain, because I want to swim in the sea.
But in the mean while traveling I was studying, not to forget all covered in school.
See you soon,
                                                                                                                                                      Maria
Hi to all my hardworking FR9 students. I couldn't invite you to the blog yesterday evening because of technical problems. But by now you should have received an invite to the blog in your gmail account. Please accept and then post on the blog. Thank you all very much for your patience :).......And here is a little puzzle for you to solve for next lesson:

'How can you throw a ball as hard as you can and have it come back to you, even if it doesn't bounce off anything? There is nothing attached to it, and no one else catches or throws it back to you.'
